Korie Lebeda
Assistant Coach

Coach Lebeda begins her second season as assistant coach for the Yellow Jackets. She joins Black Hills State after a two-year stint with Wayne State College which includes ending the 2014 season ranked No. 6 in the AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll with a 27-7 record.

Prior to her time at Wayne State, Lebeda served four years as an assistant coach at Papillion La-Vista High School and worked locally at The Volleyball Academy in Omaha.

She was a standout at Creighton University, where she started all 119 matches of her career and was named All-Missouri Valley Conference three times.  She set a school record for assists in a season with 1,401 during her freshman season and followed up with 1,484 in her sophomore campaign. She holds Creighton’s records for assists in a career with 5,281 while ranking seventh in career digs with 1,130.  She was a 2014 inductee into the Creighton Hall of Fame.

Following her collegiate career, Lebeda played professionally for the Voley Murcia team in Murcia, Spain, in 2009, and played for the Great Plains Tornados and Iowa Ice teams with the Professional Volleyball League, through USA Volleyball in 2013 and 2014.
